Karen Koch is a full time Consultant Dermatologist for Te Whatu Ora Waikato. She does not do any private work at present.
Interests:
Medical dermatology, connective tissue diseases, skin cancer, female genital dermatology.
Background
She completed her Dermatology Training in Johannesburg through the University of Witwatersrand rotating through Chis Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Johannesburg General Hospital, Helen Joseph Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital. She was accredited through the South African College of Medicine. She ran a private practice in Johannesburg until 2019 when she relocated to New Zealand with her husband and cats.
She continues to study, work and teach at Waikato Hospital.
