Dr Tallon graduated from the Auckland University School of Medicine in 1999. He completed training in internal medicine in Auckland and London before beginning sub-specialty training in Dermatology in Hamilton and Auckland. Following this, Dr Tallon completed a one-year fellowship in Dermatopathology in Boston, USA. On completion he further intensified his study with a 6 month fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Graz, Austria, specialising in the areas of cutaneous lymphoma and melanomas.
He currently divides his time between private consulting at SKIN Dermatology Institute, and reading dermatopathology for Pathlab Tauranga. His areas of special interest include skin cancer, cutaneous lymphoma, inflammatory skin conditions and dermatopathology.
